Strahan has now been inducted into another Hall of Fame. From 1989 to 1993, Strahan played college football for Texas Southern University. He was a huge star there who became an even bigger star when the Giants drafted him with the second pick in the 1993 NFL Draft.

Now, his college has honored him. His college just inducted him into the Texas Southern University Sports Hall of Fame. It seems hard to believe it took so long to see him inducted since he finished there over 30 years ago and has been in the NFL Hall of Fame for 10 years. He was voted into the Black College Football Hall of Fame in 2013.

Strahan’s uncle, Art, also played for Texas Southern University. During his college career, Strahan registered 41.5 career sacks. He was voted the Southwestern Athletic Conference Player of the Year and First-Team All-SWAC twice. He recorded 135 sacks in the NFL and a single-season record of 22 in 2001.

“A special night going into The Texas Southern University Sports Hall of Fame. Grateful is an understatement,” Strahan wrote in the caption. “@texassouthern took a chance on me, and it changed the trajectory of my entire life, giving me and my family opportunities we never dreamed of. Enjoyed celebrating it with my family by my side.”

After his NFL career ended, Michael Stahan made his way to television. He started on FOX NFL Sunday, where he still works to this day. However, he also used that to springboard onto morning talk shows, where he hosted Live! alongside Kelly Ripa until 2016. After that, he moved on to Good Morning America.
