The latest headlines about Garth Brooks are far from positive right now. The country music star is being accused of sexual assault by an anonymous woman. He’s also being compared to none other than Diddy, who’s facing his own fair share of sexual assault claims at the moment. The most recent update about Garth is just as serious, if not worse! His accuser says she feared he would hire a hitman to murder her before she could share her testimony. These are the details.

Why Is A Hitman Mentioned In Garth Brooks’ Case?

The woman who accused Garth of sexual assault says she was a makeup artist and hairstylist who used to work for Garth and his wife, Trisha Yearwood. The victim says she was hired by the country music couple in 2017. She states that in 2019, she arrived at Garth and Trisha’s home to do her job. But instead, she was met by Garth who was completely nude… with an erection.

The woman says the incident escalated to groping and oral sex. However, she didn’t feel like she could quit her job because she needed to pay her bills. Things reportedly worsened for her drastically when she went to Los Angeles for a Grammy tribute event with Garth. It was there she claims he fully raped her using disturbingly graphic detail. To make matters worse, she says she has loads of text message proof along with audio recordings from Garth to back up her claims.

Garth Brooks And Diddy Comparisons

One of the reasons she felt scared about coming forward with her story is that she feared Garth would hire a hitman to take her out. In the letter included in her lawsuit via Whiskey Riff, her attorney specifically noted her beliefs that Garth would hire someone to end her life. He wrote, ”Defendant also alleged a belief that Plaintiff planned to hire someone to murder her. The July 17 demand letter was the first time Plaintiff learned of these allegations. None of which has any basis in fact.”

Lately, Garth has been vehemently denying all claims against him. As previously mentioned before, the timing of Garth’s case lining up with Diddy‘s current scandals is possibly bringing more attention to the entire ordeal. As a reminder, the #MeToo hashtag went viral in 2017, even though the “Me Too Movement” officially launched in 2006.

It’s given victims of sexual assault a safe space to open up about traumas they’ve been through. This is especially true on social media. It’s part of the reason many survivors who’ve been through sexual assault at the hands of celebrities feel more comfortable making sure their voices heard.
