Carrie Underwood explains the challenges of being an American Idol judge. After being so excited to get the position, it seems struggles are coming up that are hurting her experience.

American Idol is a hit singing competition. The series showcases auditions and the contestants attempting to get yes’ from the judges to advance to Hollywood. No, this is not Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, but those who go to Hollywood do get a golden ticket.

Furthermore, if one gets a platinum ticket, the contestant gets a free pass for one day of Hollywood Week. Additionally, there is an age requirement of 15 and an age limit is 29. Fans get to vote for the contestants they want to see move forward. Viewers can vote up to 10 times per method.

This season’s judges are Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, and taking over Katy Perry’s spot, Carrie Underwood. Though she is not getting anywhere near Katy Perry’s salary, the Season 4 winner is not in it for the paycheck. In addition, Ryan Seacrest is the host.
