Ariana Grande‘s upcoming movie Wicked hasn’t even hit theaters yet, but it’s already stirred up tons of drama. The dramatic fairytale is set to hit theaters on November 22, 2024, with Ariana playing the role of Glinda. Ariana’s behind-the-scenes drama with Ethan Slater has been the center of many conversations regarding the film. However, it now seems that fans have a better, more positive distraction  to focus on with the release of Ariana’s Wicked Makeup Collection.

Ariana isn’t new to the makeup scene since she has a cosmetic company called R.E.M. Beauty that she initially launched in 2021. R.E.M. Beauty offers tons of products including glossy bombs, satin matte blushes, lustrous liquid eyeshadows, and more. Additionally, Ariana knows a thing or two about perfume sales, which arguably also fits into the cosmetic category.

Her top-selling perfumes are Cloud, Sweet Like Candy, Moonlight, and Love Notes Vanilla Suede. Her Wicked Makeup Collection is now also available in honor of the movie and her role as Glinda. So, what exactly will shoppers get if they purchase it for themselves? The Wicked makeup collection includes eyeshadow in shades of pink and lilac, gel pencil liners in shades of matte blue, and even liquid eyeshadow in shades of forest green and champagne gold.

The makeup color scheme is supposed to be reminiscent of Glinda’s adventures in Wicked, of course. Is it possible this makeup collection has been released as a way of blocking Ariana’s fans from continually harping on the Ethan scandal? As a reminder, Ariana started dating her Wicked costar in July 2023. It was soon revealed that he left his ex-wife and newborn child to embark on his whirlwind romance with Ariana. Those details left many of Ariana’s fans feeling uncomfortable and upset.

Ariana opened up about the sadness she’s endured regarding her relationship drama on episode of The Zach Sang Show. She said, “I feel like we don’t need to go into any specifics, but, of course, there’s like an insatiable frustration, inexplicable, hellish feeling with watching people, misunderstand the people you love.”

Plenty of diehard Ariana fans refuse to believe there’s any merit to the rumors that Ariana was the reason Ethan decided to leave his ex-wife, Lilly Jay. The drama came to a head when Lilly slammedAriana by saying she wasn’t a “girls girl,” according to Page Six.

Tons of fans took Lilly’s words to heart. They were instantly convinced there must have been some overlap in Ethan’s relationships with Lilly and Ariana. Ultimately, the general public won’t ever really know what happens behind closed doors in the lives of celebs, beyond what they choose to publicly share with the world.
