Rebecca and her family head to Mustang Point Ranch for a family vacation. She is a professor that is juggling her work, and trying to get tenure while being a single mom. A widow, she has two sons who need her attention more than ever. A visit to this ranch is something they have wanted. However, she also is happy to have a vacation away from the stresses of her university life.
At the ranch, Rebecca meets Jake West. He is a tall hunk of something gorgeous. He is a former rodeo champion. But now, he is a cowboy who likes to strum his guitar and live a nomadic life of no commitment. However, things get complicated quickly. That is because Jake West is involved with Rebecca’s sister! She didn’t know he was involved with her, and he should not be making those moves towards her because he was dating her sister!
This should not be happening. Yet, the two of them cannot deny their attraction to each other. Moreover, as this vacation continues, and they spend more time with each other, Rebecca starts to question her life choices. Living this simpler life has given her a sort of peace she hasn’t had in a long time. Most of all, her boys are flourishing with this new routine. Being with Jake makes her happy. Now, Rebecca has to make a decision. Should she focus on her career and family?
