Kris Jenner Fears ‘The Kardashians’ Will Be Axed
Kris Jenner is starting to panic as the end of The Kardashians seems to be looming. Will the show be picked up for another season? Keep reading to find out what we know so far.
Will The Kardashians be picked up again?
Kris Jenner really got her empire started when Keeping Up with the Kardashians hit E!. Since then, the show has left that network, rebranded as The Kardashians, and moved to Hulu where it has lived for 5 seasons now. Apparently, the show has been approved for a Season 6 as of late July, however right now, there is no guarantee it will get picked up Radar Online reports.
Now, Kris Jenner is panicking. Of course, this show is her livelihood. A source reveals exactly how she is feeling about the reality of her reality TV show.
“Kris wants the show to go on forever, but the economic realities of the streaming world are creeping up on her,” the source says. “Everything from marketing budgets to episode counts are getting tighter so streaming services can continue making a profit.”
What will happen if the show doesn’t get picked back up? The source reports that the Kardashian family will have a lot more time to do other parts of their jobs. Kim, for example, can spend more time working on her passion – prison reformation.
“When it does happen, it will enable them to concentrate on other things,” the source says.
All in all, it seems they are all in agreement that this change is inevitable as they have lived most of their lives in front of a camera.
“There’s definitely a feeling they’ve squeezed the lemon long enough.”
Kris Jenner is Still looking for content
Even though the show could be on its last leg, Kris Jenner is still on the hunt for fresh new content to bring new viewers in. Now, it’s all about Kim Kardashian’s love life.
Kim recently revealed that she was going to have her children help her find love rather than use a dating app or a matchmaker. She claims her children are mature and know good people, so she can trust them.
“Even though North is only 11, Kim always raves about how wise and mature she is, and Saint is obsessed with basketball and soccer, so he knows all the players and is very up on whose star is on the rise,” a source has revealedd. “She figures her kids know who’s appropriate for her better than any celebrity matchmaker could. Kim would rather take their advice about who to date than go on some dating website like Raya.”
Kris, however, has decided this will make great content for The Kardashians.
“She loves this as a storyline in the show and was the one who told Kim she should make a point to publicize it since she knew it would get everyone talking,” the source continues. They note that Kris is a ‘marketing genius.’ So, of course she found a way to make money from this.
