Nicholas Chavez was only on General Hospital for a short time, but quickly became a fan favorite. He left the role of Spencer Cassadine in 2024 after getting a huge break in a Ryan Murphy Netflix series. Premiere Date, Cast Info

Nicholas Chavez took a leave of absence from GH to film the Monsters series for Netflix. Unfortunately for soap fans, he is not returning to the show.

He is among a star-studded cast for the true crime series about Lyle and Erik Menendez murdering their parents. They were convicted of the crime in 1996, seven years after the 1989 murder.

The brothers shot their parents at close range with a shotgun. José Menendez was shot six times and Kitty Menendez had been shot 10 times. Javier Bardem plays the family’s patriarch.

Additionally, Oscar-winning actress Chloë Sevigny plays Kitty Menendez. Newcomer Cooper Koch takes on the role of Erik Menendez.

The supporting cast includes Nathan Lane as journalist Dominick Dunne and Ari Graynor as Leslie Abramson, who represented the brothers.

According to TV Line, all nine episodes of Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story premiere on Netflix on Thursday, September 19.

First Look At GH‘s Nicholas Chavez As Murderer Lyle Menedez

Nicholas Chavez has a Daytime Emmy from his time on General Hospital. Now the talented actor jumps from soap star to Ryan Murphy’s latest protege. Chavez also stars in the upcoming FX thriller series Grotesquerie from the popular writer/creator.

Lyle is the older brother and by many accounts, the ring leader of the murders. However, the brothers claim sexual abuse from their father and are currently appealing their conviction with new evidence.
