Joey Lawrence’s Wife Files For Divorce, Wants Daughter
Former Blossom star, Joey Lawrence’s third wife, Samantha Cope has filed for divorce. Not just that but she wants sole physical custody of their daughter together. So, what else does she want from this divorce and how long were they married? Keep reading for more details about this awful split.
Joey Lawrence’s Wife Files For Divorce, Wants Daughter
After just two years of marriage, Joey Lawrence’s third wife, Samantha Cope-Lawrence has filed for divorce. The two tied the knot in 2022 after meeting on the set of a Lifetime movie. They initially became engaged in 2021 and then waited until the following year to make it official. Shortly after they became husband and wife, Joey and Samantha announced that they were having their first child together. He is already a father to two other children but their daughter, Dylan Rose made her appearance in January 2023. This seemed to be like Joey’s forever but Samantha has been giving hints that she was over the marriage.
According to TMZ, she has been posting cryptic messages on her social media that led some followers to believe not all was well in her life. However, no one was quite sure what was going on except she was no longer following her husband which was suspicious. Now, she has filed for divorce from Joey and is asking for sole physical custody of Dylan. She is claiming they officially split in June 2024 and, as for Dylan, has specific stipulations.

Joey Lawrence can only see Dylan when it is okay with Samantha. Furthermore, she is stating that, when Dylan turns 3 in 2026, she can spend two nights a week at Joey’s. At the same time, he cannot take Dylan for extended amounts of time though she is unclear as to why that is. When Dylan is old enough, she can decide if she wants to be with her father for longer periods of time but that won’t be for several years. Finally, only family members will be allowed around Dylan when she is with Joey unless Samantha approves.
No Money
Samantha Cope is not asking for spousal support and will not give it either. However, her followers have long hoped that she and Joey Lawrence were doing okay. They saw that she and the DWTS finalist were clearly having some sort of problems and reached out immediately:

Joey’s first marriage lasted three years while his second lasted fifteen. It is unclear if a judge will approve Samantah’s custody requests but if they do not, this could get rough and tough.
