The TV show UnREAL entertained fans for years by spoofing popular reality dating show The Bachelor. Now it is available on a popular streaming service. Where can you watch it online? Keep reading for all the details.

What Is UnREAL?

Producers from the Bachelor franchise keep behind-the-scenes secrets close to the vest. But the fictional TV show UnREAL exposed many of the tricks used on reality television to get the most drama.

UnREAL debuted on Lifetime in 2015. The main cast included Shiri Appleby (Roswell) as Rachel, a producer of the fictional dating show, Everlasting. Constance Zimmer (Boston Legal) played her boss, Quinn. The show ran for three seasons on Lifetime before getting picked up by Hulu for its fourth and final season.

Hallmark hunk Brennan Elliott played the host of the fictional dating show. Soap stars Kim Matula (The Bold & The Beautiful) and Josh Kelly (General Hospital) also had roles on the show.

The fictional dating show, Everlasting, was very similar to ABC‘s Bachelor franchise and that’s not a coincidence. The show was inspired by a short film from Sarah Gertrude Shapiro, who previously worked for ABC on the reality TV dating show.

UnREAL gave viewers a glimpse at what goes on behind the camera, including how producers can make contestants cry or manipulate them into doing things. One common theme in the show was creating one of the contestants into that season’s villain.

Some Bachelor Nation alum have spoken out about similar tactics used on the ABC show.

Where To Stream Bachelor Franchise Spoof

Even though Hulu aired the final season of UnREAL, the show is no longer available to stream. But good news for TV show junkies. The show is now available to stream elsewhere.

Netflix picked up the rights and it will hit the popular streamer on Monday, August 19. Bachelor Nation fans can binge it before the new episode of The Bachelorette to see if they can catch producer-manipulated moments.

Bachelor Nation fans took to Reddit to share their reaction to the news:

One fan added that UnREAL is also on the free Tubi streamer for those who don’t have a Netflix subscription.
