George Stephanopoulos Replaced On GMA, What Happened?
Good Morning America on Friday saw the absence of two of its major stars. Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos were both absent from the show. While fans knew where Robin was headed, there were questions about what happened to George and where he was at this last week.
Here is what we know about George’s absence from GMA and where he might have been.
George Stephanopoulos Absent From GMA Last Week
George Stephanopoulos was absent from Good Morning America on both Thursday and Friday. While his absence was not mentioned on the show, he missed both Thursday and Friday’s episode of the morning talk show.
This has recently become almost a normal thing for the host. George was also absent two weeks ago when he missed some shows along with Robin Roberts and Michael Strahan. However, this last Thursday, it was just George who was missing, as Robin and Michael were both there. Replacing George on the show was Linsey Davis.
When Friday rolled around, George was fone once again, and this time, Robin was also missing in action. Robin revealed where she was, though. Robin posted a photo of her and her wife as they prepared to head to Europe and Wembley Stadium to see Taylor Swift in concert.
However, no one mentioned where George was.
Where Is George Stephanopoulos On Good Morning America?
While Robin Roberts told her fans that she was heading to Europe to see Taylor Swift, George has been missing in action. However, there is a likely explanation for where he is right now, and it is the same reason Michael Strahan missed a couple of weeks earlier in August.
While Michael was missing with no explanation, it turned out he was on vacation with his daughters. Since Isabella spent the summer undergoing cancer treatment, Michael likely wanted to spend some quality time with his kids before they headed off to college this fall. They ended up in the Bahamas.
Most people feel that George is not around because he is also spending some fatherly time with his daughters before they return to college for the fall semester. George has two daughters with wife, Ali Wentworth – Elliott, 21, and Harper, 19.
Recently, Ali made a public exchange with Lara Spencer about a Nashville meetup. Harper goes to college at Vanderbilt, so it is likely they are visiting with her as she prepares for her next semester. George and Ali have never put work above their family, and that is likely the case here.

I think George needs to be replaced on GMA!
His attitude toward some guests is less than cordial when interviewing or when reporting some stories. That attitude takes away from the upbeat good feeling tenor of the show.
He is definitely hostile on This Week. John Carl has more diplomatic interview skills & does a great job in that format.

I have noticed his indifference recently to not only certain guests but certain co workers. We need to constantly be grateful for our life situations and not take them for granted.

I like George, but you act like Toophus Michael and Muff diver Robin are the only two on GMA!! You fired the weather man because Ginger Zee didn’t feel she was getting enough air time, so find it hard to believe you care about George. You have these people on constantly because they are1: black and 2: roll around with not so smart individuals!! George NEEDS to walk away because he’s lost too many people who follow him from the likes of others you’ve hired on that idiot show!!
George needs to be replaced. He has a small man’s holier than thou attitude and has no business hosting on GMA. For these reasons alone, I refuse to watch GMA unless I have no other options.
George deserves better I hope he lands at News Nation with the rest of Great news Profesionals David should leave next he’s just wasting his time ABC does 15 minutes of new and the last 15 minutes is spent on commercials for your parent company Dusney.
