‘Fire Country’ Season 3 Is A ‘Turning Point’ For Max Thieriot
Fire Country Season 3 is coming this year. However, this will be a very different season for Bode after last season’s finale. Thanks to a huge twist at the end of Season 2, Max Thieriot’s Bode has a new lease on life. The actor himself said that this is a new “turning point” for Bode in the new season.
Here is what you need to know about Bode in Fire Country Season 3.
Bode Getting A Fresh Start on Fire Country
The Fire Country Season 2 finale saw Bode head into a huge, dangerous campaign fire in northern California, where he saved his father. Thanks to his heroism, the prison system awarded him a “good conduct credit” and knocked the rest of the time off his five-year prison sentence.
The first two seasons showed Bode as he tried to prove himself and get a second start in life with Cal Fire. However, he is now free and has a chance to get started with his life after prison. According to Max Thieriot, this gives the character a chance to figure out who he is outside of prison.
“I think we really leave Bode at a big turning point in his character,” Max said (via Good Housekeeping). “Due to everything that we’ve been seeing, I think we leave him off sort of seeing him reinvigorated. You really feel like he’s trying to put things behind him and he’s really trying to set a path.”
This situation puts Bode in a position where he will start the new season as a free man. Saving his dad’s life in Season 2 might help them finally settle their differences, but it will be interesting to see what is next for Bode.
What To Expect From Fire Country Season 3
It looks like Fire Country Season 3 will start with Bode working in construction. However, after spending so much time by saving lives in the thrilling firefighting occupation, that isn’t something that is likely to fill the hole missing with his prison release.
However, he isn’t certified to be a firefighter despite what he did while in prison, which means he won’t be able to get a job with any fire department, at least not in the role he is used to. There is also more drama for Bode, especially since Season 2 also saw his ex-girlfriend Gabriela possibly tying the knot with her fiancé Diego.
Fire Country Season 3 premieres on CBS on Friday, October 18, at 9/8c.
