‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Ryan Seacrest Takes On Another Pat Sajak Gig
While most Wheel of Fortune fans thought Pat Sajak was retiring completely from the show after the last season, that wasn’t the case. Pat will continue to consult on the show from behind the scenes and will also host the next season of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. However, the franchise is slowly easing him out completely.
Here is what Ryan Seacrest will be replacing Pat Sajak in on top of the regular hosting duties.
Ryan Seacrest Taking More Duties From Pat Sajak
When the next season of Wheel of Fortune begins, Ryan Seacrest will be hosting the show for the first time. He has been filming his episodes over the summer. However, when Pat Sajak retired from the main show, he had one job left to do. He will host the next season of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, which was also supposed to film this summer.
Some fans who don’t know the difference between Wheel of Fortune and Celebrity Wheel of Fortune thought Sajak was returning from his retirement. However, he always planned to go one last season on that completely different show. Once he finishes the upcoming season, Pat is retiring from that show too.
Ryan Seacrest will then take over as the host of both shows which includes the main Wheel of Fortune.
Ryan Seacrest Working As A Consulting Producer On Wheel Of Fortune
After the next season of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune airs, Pat Sajak will officially retire from both shows, and Seacrest will be the sole host. However, it also looks like the production is gearing up Seacrest for one more change.
Ryan Seacrest is also now working as one of Wheel of Fortune’s consulting producers. After stepping down as the host, Sajak was given that role, and it sounds like he will now share the duties with Ryan Seacrest. There have been rumors that Pat has refused to offer Ryan help and is just watching to see what happens.
If that is true, Wheel of Fortune might be guarding its future by giving Ryan more duties so he can help to form the show in his own image for more long-term success. Seacrest has decades of experience in reality TV, and he could bring a lot of that to his new role as the host of one of TV’s most popular game shows.
Meanwhile, Pat Sajak seems to be planning to enjoy life more. Next summer, he will appear in plays in Hawai’i, and he seems ready for the next stage of his life.

Not embracing Seacrest. His vibe isn’t right for this show.
Not excited to see Seacrist on the Wheel. Hate to think I may not be watching anymore.
Have watched “WHEEL” for most of its run. And I will continue to watch “IF” Ryan doesnt “SCREW” up the show too much. BUT I dont like Ryan so I know he will not be a good replacement for Pat. We will see I guess. l was shocked when it was announced He would be Pats replacement
