Hallmark Alum Cameron Mathison Moving Forward With Major Life Changes
Cameron Mathison is going through a lot of life and career changes that may make the General Hospital star deal with the fallout from these major disruptions.
Firstly, just a week ago, the Murder She Baked star shocked his fans by announcing that he and his wife Vanessa were splitting up. The pair had been married for 22 years.
Next, he is officially an empty nester. Both of his kids Lucas and Leila are away at school.
What other changes has Cameron made in the past nine or so months?
Cameron Mathison Making Major Life Changes
Cameron Mathison has been navigating a lot of major life changes of late. This includes his personal and his professional life. Firstly, both of his kids are out of the house. He is officially an empty nester.
Before his daughter Leila, 18, and son Lucas, 21, traveled off to their International school programs, he spent some time with the pair. He shared on Instagram a photo dump of their epic trip to Arizona. He wrote, “Summer photo dump. Last few weeks before I’m an official empty nesterš¢”
Just after that, Cameron and Vanessa shared a joint statement that their relationship was over. They wrote, “After 22 years of marriage, we have made the difficult decision to part ways. We enter this new chapter with deep love, kindness, and respect for each other.”
Besides asking for privacy, they revealed their joint focus was on their two children. They seemed to be a perfect couple and a perfect family. This was a shock to all of his fans.
However, the Great American Family star’s recent interviews hinted that there was jealousy. When Mathison recently revealed that he was would be an empty nester, the interviewer asked about Vanessa. He mentioned that his now estranged wife was in an “exploratory phase.”
Also, speaking with DWTS pro Cheryl Burke, Cam revealed that he did not want to dance with Edyta because she was so beautiful and he didn’t want his wife at the time to be jealous. That was because they were going through a “rough patch.”
Then hours after the shock split announcement, Cameron was seen with Aubree Knight. According to People, she had been at his place before they strolled around and got a bite to eat. He seems to have moved on with his personal life.

Hallmark Hunk Left For Great American Family
The biggest shocker to Hannah Swensen fans was that Cameron Mathison left Hallmark and signed an exclusive three-year deal with Great American Media, the parent company of Great American Family.
His first movie since signing is with Candace Cameron Bure. This is a 2024 holiday movie called Jingle Bells, Wedding Bells.
