On Thursday, People revealed that Cameron Mathison was hanging out with esthetician Aubree Knight. After she was at his home, the pair was seen walking around, with Mathison “laughing and talking.” The 54-year-old actor and the owner of Aubree Knight Beauty went out to eat after their stroll.
This was a surprise for many fans, as it was less than 24 hours after the Great American Family star and Vanessa, his wife of 22 years went to social media to announce that they were splitting up.

Cameron Mathison And Wife Vanessa Announce Split After 22 Years
Cameron Mathison seems to have moved on from his wife Vanessa who he was married to for 22 Years. On Wednesday, the estranged couple shared a joint Instagram post announcing the end of their relationship. “After 22 Years of marriage, we have made the difficult decision to part ways.”
We enter this new chapter with deep love, kindness, and respect for each other. We hold gratitude in our hearts for the wonderful years we shared together.
The former couple shared that they will focus on their children, Lucas, 21, and Leila, 18.
This news was not a big surprise to most of his fans. Many noticed that the Hallmark alum and his now former wife were not shown in his frequent social media posts. Also, in an interview a week before their split, Mathison revealed that he was in an empty nest stage. When asked about Vanessa, he revealed that she was in an “exploratory” phase.

Besides social media, where there other signs that Cameron Mathison and his now estranged wife had marital issues? Fans who listened to the July 22 episode of Cheryl Burke’s podcast Sex, Lies, And Spray Tans, learned there was a lot of jealousy in the household.
Before he joined Dancing With The Stars, Cameron shared with Cheryl that he was determined to not dance with Edyta Sliwinska. He shared, “I don’t know if Edyta knows this. I actually called Dina Katz,” the GH star dished that he called the casting director of the ABC show. Next, he recalled the the conversation. “I said, ‘Listen, I’m so happy that you’ve offered me the show. I can’t wait. I’m in. Just do me a favor.'” He then asked to be paired up with “anybody but Edyta.”
What was more surprising is that Cameron shared that he and Vanessa were having a “rough patch” in their relationship. He was worried that Vanessa would be too jealous if he was dancing with a woman as beautiful as Edyta.
Surprisingly, they still cast him with Edyta. Mathison called his then-wife “a hero.” Vanessa took care of the kids and home while he shot six episodes of All My Children in three days, in New York. Moreover, Edyta was traveling alongside him so they could practice between scenes.
This became a special segment on the reality dance show, with Vanessa in the audience cheering him on. Now, it may seem very uncomfortable knowing that he was worried about her jealousy if he did dance with Edyta.
