It sounds like there was some backstage drama on The View. The news comes from a podcast episode that Sara Haines appeared on. In that episode, she reveals a small story of something that happened between her and Alyssa Farah Griffin in an email between the hosts.

Here is what happened and why it annoyed Sara so much.

Sara Haines Reveals The View Backstage Drama

Sara Haines appeared on the podcast, The View: Behind The Table with Brian Teta. The episode was titled It’s Sara Without The H, For The Record, and that is really where the frustration arose. According to Sara, it all started with emails sent between the hosts coming up with topic ideas.

This is a “hot topics” email they send each other with ideas from each woman. When Sara sends out her ideas, the other woman responds, and Alyssa Farah Griffin replies that she “liked Sarah’s idea.” This causes Brian Teta to stop the podcast conversation right there, and he asks, “Does she not even know you? How many others don’t know how to spell your name?”

While it easily could have been a simple mistake in typing out an email, the two made a big deal of it — in a funny way. Sara asked Alyssa in front of everyone to spell her name. Alyssa said, “S-A-R-A,” and then everyone looked at her. She stopped, realizing there was no “H” at the end of the name.

Alyssa admitted that Sara’s last name starts with an “H,” so that could explain it. However, Sara (while clearly joking) seems to take it seriously when someone misspells her name, saying she doesn’t know who people are talking to when they spell it “Sarah.”

Alyssa Farah Griffin & Sara Haines On The View

Alyssa Farah Griffin joined The View in August 2022 as a co-host. She joined Sara Haines, Whoopi Goldberg, Joh Behar, and Sunny Hostin. Farah Griffin said at the time that she was “honored” to join the cast of hosts.

She said she was there to honor Barbara Walters and what she created as women from different backgrounds, lived experiences, and careers talked about tough issues. Farah Griffin brought a conservative point of view back to the show. She said she reached out to Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who told her to stand her ground but to be gracious.

What are your thoughts on Sara Haines taking it personally when people misspell her name? Did it all seem like a joke, or was Sara really taking it personally when people can’t spell her name right? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
