Hallmark’s ‘Junebug’ Stars Autumn Reeser, Aaron O’Connell
Hallmark is kicking off their annual Summer Nights programming with Junebug. This stars Autumn Reeser and Aaron O’Connell. “When a woman starts to see an 8-year-old version of herself, she realizes that her life is not what she hoped it would be and tries to turn it around.”
This is a fantasy romcom that promises to be romantic and empowering. Most of all, Autumn Reeser has been working on this movie for years. This is a dream come true for the actress. Also, this is her first movie in 18 months. It has been a long time!

What Is Hallmark’s Junebug About?
Autumn Reeser and Aaron O’Connell “reach for their dreams” in the new Hallmark Summer Nights movie Junebug. What is this movie about? According to the synopsis, Juniper is a 40-year-old book editor who is having a midlife crisis. She realizes this when she starts to see and talk to an eight-year-old version of herself. Adulting was harder than she realized, and now she sees and hears things!
However, young Juniper is persistent. She reminds the present-day one of what her dreams were. Young Juniper doesn’t like how she dresses. She wants Most of all, the younger version pushes her to write again. What is still inside of Juniper that needs to get out? She digs deeper. Coincidentally, this leads to a collaboration with Alex, a gorgeous artist she serendipitously meets.
“Despite work challenges, she connects with Alex on a personal level and pushes past insecurities about her writing to try and get her life back on track.”
When Is The Premiere Of Hallmark’s Junebug?
The premiere of Junebug is on Saturday, August 3, at 8 p.m., Eastern, on the Hallmark Channel. In addition, viewers can watch this Summer Nights movie on Peacock up to 72 hours after the premiere.
Autumn Reeser Has Been Working On Junebug For Five Years
For the past few months, Autumn Reeser has shared her Junebug journey on Instagram. She shared the synopsis of Juniper reconnecting with her younger self, who demands “that she begins to SHINE her little light. ✨” In a previous post, she reveals “I love this one.” Then added that Junebug is “sweet and it’s important. I think you’ll love it too.”
In addition, Reeser, along with her frequent collaborator and co-star Antonio Cupo are executive producers of this fantasy romcom.
