What happened to Anna Cardwell’s widower, Eldridge Toney who viewers met on Mama June: Family Crisis? He and Anna tied the knot in early 2023 but it remained a secret until the end of her life. Mama June What Happened To Anna’s Widower, Eldridge?
A lot of focus has been on Mama June, her family, Kaitlyn, and how they are handling Anna Cardwell’s passing. No one appears to check in on her widower, Eldridge Toney, at least not on Family Crisis. When Anna had to decide custody of Kaitlyn, she chose Eldridge. This was a struggle for June as she believed she could give the tween more than Eldridge could. Anna had been married for a short time when she was younger to Michael Cardwell. He is not Kaitlyn’s bio father as he always remained unknown.
Anna and Michael had Kylee but he always looked at Kaitlyn as his own. In 2017, after they split, she started dating Eldridge and he embraced her daughters as his own. When Anna got sick, he wanted to do all he could to make her feel good. Pumpkin threw an intimate wedding for them with Anna’s father in attendance. However, she never wanted to think of her mortality. Luckily, she knew Kylee would go to her father Michael. Yet, Kaitlyn’s future was up in the air and Anna passed before she could file any paperwork.
Mama June now has custody though Michael Cardwell is fighting for it. Amid everything, fans are questioning what happened to Eldridge after Anna passed:

- He sort of seems like he kinda removed himself entirely. I was a little surprised he wasn’t included in spreading Anna’s ashes. I want to know if they asked him even. Or maybe he just wants to be done with it all.
Using Eldridge
Mama June Shannon is currently in a court battle with Michael Cardwell over Kaitlyn. She has subpoenaed Eldridge Toney to be one of her witnesses but is that really fair? He knows he was Anna Cardwell’s first custody choice. That is also on camera plus he is well aware of how estranged she was from her mother for years. Therefore, this could be something he does not want to be involved in. Is there a right answer? That is hard to say but it appears he has kept his distance or out of the spotlight except for special occasions. Time will tell what happens when he has to go to court on behalf of June.
