‘Fixer Upper’ Chip Gaines Advocates For Kids With Passion Project
Recently, Fixer Upper star, Chip Gaines showed off a big passion project that hit near and dear to his heart. Collaborating with Bobcat Company, he lands a community makeover that allows him to advocate for kids.
Kids Are A Huge Passion For Joanna And Chip Gaines
Undeniably, both Fixer Upper hosts, Joanna and Chip Gaines, have a big soft spot for kids. Since they have five kids of their own, it is easy to understand why Chip would jump at the opportunity to advocate for kids. With a large range of ages in their crew, Drake, 18, Ella, 17, Duke, 15, Emmie, 13, and Crew, 5, they know how important having accessible play areas in a community can be. So Chip took on a big passion project in Waco.

Partnering with Bobcat Company, Chip Gaines took on the dream makeover…field of dreams that is. He and a team gave one community a special spot for youth. The Fixer Upper host and Magnolia cofounder collaborated with Bobcat to make the Waco Youth Baseball Field safer for kids.
Not only is Chip a major fan of baseball, but he is a big supporter of offering kids room for revamped sports and play areas. Chip saw that the Waco ballfield needed an upgrade and became personally involved with the project. He is proud to help bring the field “back to life.” He knows that “life happens” in communities that can come together.
Branching Out
While Chip and Joanna Gaines are known for their Fixer Upper series, they have many other outlets for their talents. Not only are they branching out in the types of TV series they are offering, but they are finding great partnerships. Chip became an ambassador for Bobcat. He says, “When I heard that Bobcat was interested in partnering with me, I was ecstatic. This is a brand that goes way back for me. When I was a little kid, I remember seeing people driving Bobcat skid-steers, and I couldn’t wait to be in the driver’s seat—which just goes to show that when it comes to world-class equipment, Bobcat is it.”
Furthermore, Chip Gaines shares the exciting news that other communities could have a similar makeover. Additionally, Bobcat announced a community makeover contest where people across the U.S. can apply. Furthermore, each community can nominate their local park, recreation area, or youth sports facility for a chance to have a transformation worth $100,000. Check out the opportunity here to nominate a local field or park that is “overdue for a redo.”
