‘My Big Fat Fabulous Life’ Is Hunter Thore Running Season 12?
Hunter Thore took charge when the hate mail and the egging of Whitney Way Thore’s home took place in MBFFL Season 12. More often, he’s directing the dialogue on the confessional couch. So, My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans wonder if he’s actually running the show. He could have taken on board a lot more of a producer’s role, they believe. Read on to find out what TLC fans are thinking.
Hunter Thore Used To Be Quieter
TLC fans saw that in the past, the MBFFL support character seemed rather reserved and quiet. Admittedly, he went through some surprising times, like when he and Whitney discovered his mom had been married before. But mostly, he stayed in the background until Season 12 of My Big Fat Fabulous Life.
Although he’s been on My Big Fat Fabulous Life on and off since the beginning, it’s only in the last two years that TLC fans found out more about Hunter Thore’s job. Firstly, he used to be a guitarist in the band Plague Of Jackals. Plus, he’s an actor. Last year, he launched a big promo for his new production. With that sort of background, MBFFL fans think he might have a lot of say in the show.
My Big Fat Fabulous Life Fans Talk Showrunner
On Thursday this week, an OP on Reddit who watched plenty of My Big Fat Fabulous Life episodes talked about Whitney Way Thore’s brother and the TLC show. In their caption, they wrote:
Is hunter running this season[?] I’ve got a funny conspiracy theory about Hunter this season. It seems like he’s getting a lot more screen time, and I can’t help but wonder if the producers are just letting him run wild. Like, maybe they’re thinking, “Sure, Hunter, go ahead and take a shot at it. We don’t care if this show goes under!”
In the comments section, other MBFFL fans thought it was quite possible that behind the scenes, Hunter Thore was more involved than before. Here are some of their thoughts:
- I always thought he looked so uncomfortable in front of the camera. Then I find out he is an actor. 🤷‍♀️
- I felt like the most recent ep was just marketing for Hunter’s career. Like he’s been kinda on the show a bit but I’ve never heard him [push] his resume as much as he did this past ep.
- Thought the same, particularly when they flashed his fat frog movie poster up for a few seconds.
- Funny you mention that – I caught up last night and noticed that he finally mentioned his background in theater (off-off broadway) and his new movie (he’s the lead). My partner and I felt that there was something sorta “off” about everything – almost like the producers were scraping for content…
