‘Tracker’ Season 2 Release Date, Casting News
Tracker is returning this fall for its second season. There have been a lot of rumors and news about the upcoming season, and now there is an even more exciting update. CBS has released its schedule for the fall season, including the exact release date for the Justin Hartley series.
Here is what you need to know about the next season of Tracker, including its release date and some fun cast information.
Tracker Season 2 Release Date
Tracker is returning for Season 2, and Justin Hartley has been doing the rounds to promote his series. He seems very excited about the upcoming season, and it sounds like it might be even better than the first one. Now, CBS has revealed when fans can start watching the next outing of Colter, the survivalist who helps find missing people.
Tracker season 2 returns on CBS on October 27 at 8:30/7:30c. The strange time is because CBS will have an NFL on CBS doubleheader that will push the shows later into the evening. 60 minutes, which usually starts immediately following the Sunday football games, will not start until 7:30/6:30c that night.
However, starting November 3, Tracker will move to its regular 8/7c timeslot on Sunday nights. The Equalizer Season 5 follows the premiere on October 27 as well.
Tracker Season 1 premiered after the Super Bowl this year and became the highest-rated show on broadcast television. It averaged 5,59 million viewers each night on primetime. While that isn’t as big as viewing numbers used to be, the new way people watch TV makes it a huge success in today’s market.
Tracker averaged 20.4 million viewers per episode when looking at numbers across 35 days, including streaming service numbers. As popular as it was, Young Sheldon only brought in 12.9 million viewers.
Tracker Season 2 Featuring Big Name Returning Stars
Tracker will see Justin Hartley returning as a traveling survivalist who helps find missing people for both law enforcement agencies and individuals seeking his assistance. This means there aren’t many supporting characters since Colter is always on the move.
Robin Weigert and Abby McEnany return as Teddi Bruin and Velma Bruin, Colter’s handlers who help him get jobs. Eric Graise is Bobby Exley, someone who assists Colter as his tech guy. Fiona Rene is Rennie Greene, a lawyer who helps Colter when he gets into trouble.
However, the most exciting news is that two guest stars will return in Tracker Season 2, even though both actors signed on to star in other shows. Melissa Roxburgh will return as Colter’s sister, Dory, and Jensen Ackles will return as his brother, Russell.
This is great news since Roxburgh has signed on for the NBC midseason drama series The Hunting Party. Ackles signed on to star in the Prime Video series Countdown.
