‘Big Brother 26’ Releases Cast, Controversial New Twist

Big Brother 26 is almost here. The news has been trickling out as the reality competition series is ready to kick off this month. First came the release dates and then the theme for the season. Now, CBS has introduced the cast for the show and has revealed one new twist that not all fans are on board with.

Here is a look at the new cast and the twist that concerns some fans.

Big Brother 26 Introduces The New Cast Of Players

Big Brother 26 has released its new cast of players for the new season. This list includes a nice mix for audiences to cheer on and a wide array of personalities and backgrounds. Here is a look at the new cast for Season 26.

Angela Murray (50) is a real estate agent in Utah. Quinn Martin (25) is a nurse recruiter from Nebraska. Leah Peters (26) is a VIP cocktail server in Miami. Tucker Des Laruiers (30) is a marketing and sales executive in Brooklyn.

Kenny Kelley (52) was a former undercover cop in Boston. Lisa Weintraub (33) is a celebrity chef in Los Angeles. Kimo Apaka (35) is a mattress sales rep from Hawai’i. Makensy Manbeck (22) is a construction project manager in Houston. Brooklyn Rivera (34) is a business administrator in Dallas.

Matt Hardeman (25) is a tech sales rep in Georgia. Chelsie Baham (27) is a nonprofit director in California. Joseph Rodriguez (30) is a video store clerk in Florida. Cedric Hodges (21) is a former Marine from Idaho. Rubina Bernabe (35) is an event bartender from Los Angeles. T-Kor Clottey (23) is a crochet business owner in Atlanta. Cam Sullivan-Brown (25) is a physical therapist in Maryland.

This means the oldest player is 52, one of two players over 50. The youngest player this season is 22. In all, eight players are in their 20s, six in their 30s, and two in their 50s.

Big Brother 26 Adds A Controversial Twist

However, there is a twist. There are 16 players who will have the power to vote in a 17th houseguest for the first time. Adding the Big Brother AI to design futuristic rooms and create crazy challenges has caused some fans to be concerned about this 17th player.

When Big Brother 26 posted the cast introduction, fans on Instagram had a lot to say. This was especially true when the mysterious 17th guest was overlaid with a blacked-out image.

  • “Predictable cast. A thousand influencers and recruits and the one boomer.”
  • “I have a feeling the last houseguest is gonna be AI and if so, I’m not loving the idea.”
  • “Different cast, same characters… every year.”
