Maks Chmerkovskiy & Peta Murgatroyd Share New Baby’s Name
Dancing With The Stars pros Maks Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd are thrilled to introduce their new baby son to the rest of the world.
Earlier in the week, Maks revealed that Peta was struggling with this pregnancy and was ready to give birth. Just a few days later, Maks revealed they were at the hospital and ready to go.
Baby Chmerkovskiy entered the world the morning of July 12 and his parents announced his arrival later in the day. Now, they’re sharing more details about him, including his name. Keep reading to find out more about the latest addition to the Dancing With The Stars family.
Maks Chmerkovskiy & Peta Murgatroyd Share Details About The Baby
Although the Chmerkovskiys weren’t expecting to have a third child so soon after welcoming their second, they’re happy to expand their family. After struggling with infertility for so many years, Maks and Peta are thrilled to have a house full of little boys to love and cherish.
They chose a unique name for the new baby, keeping with the family’s latest theme of using cities. There is already a Rio and a Rome in the family.
“💙 Milan Maksim Chmerkovskiy 💙” Peta shared on Instagram, attaching a photo of the newborn. “Born 8.48am 〰️ 7/12/24 〰️ 8 pounds. The fam is complete 🥹”

Plenty of Maks and Peta’s friends and colleagues left well wishes in the comments. DWTS judge Derek Hough wrote, “Wow, that lil guy is fresh out the oven :))) ❤️ Congrats 🎉”

What’s Next For The Family Of Five?
Now that Milan Chmerkovskiy has been born, the new family of five will likely spend some quiet time at home adjusting to their new lives. However, Peta Murgatroyd has already said she wants to be involved with Dancing With The Stars Season 33.
The season premiere kicks off on September 17, which only gives Peta two months to prepare for the competition. It’s not something many women would attempt, but she seems excited to be back in the ballroom.
