Josh quit his job in the U.S. as an HVAC salesman to live with his wife in China. However, he worries about the life he would have in China, especially when it comes to their roles.
What Is Josh’s Condition
It was also revealed that Josh has a rare condition called misophonia, which affects his hearing perception. This didn’t become a hurdle for the 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way star to marry Lily. But many viewers quickly became curious about the life he’s been living. According to studies, misophonia is a rare disorder that results in intolerance of repetitive sounds.
In one of their scenes, Josh had difficulties having breakfast with his parents, and he eventually put on earplugs. “Chewing with your mouth open, slurping, anything that kind of has repetitive sounds, irritates me,” he added before explaining that it makes his heart race and gives him anxiety.

Lily’s life in China is a huge contrast to Josh’s. The 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way star currently owns a massive home in China with a talking elevator. She also runs a huge beauty business that she built from scratch. She offers skincare procedures and even has her own cosmetic line, making her one of the most successful stars in the franchise today.
However, Lily’s role as a breadwinner is a problem for Josh. He thinks that he should contribute and add something to the table instead of looking like a kept man, and this could result in problems for the couple.
