‘Jeopardy!’ Fans ‘Cringe’ At ‘Pop Culture’ Promo
Jeopardy! fans are cringing at the new Pop Culture spinoff promotion that has been released. Fans are already on the fence about this show but what has them so irked by this new promo? More so, what does it look like? Keep reading for more details.
Jeopardy! Fans ‘Cringe’ At Pop Culture Promo
The new spinoff, Pop Culture Jeopardy! is coming in hot and the first promo has already been released. It is not the same format as the traditional show. People will not be playing solo but rather in teams of three which works very well. These questions span all aspects of pop culture so the more hands on deck, the better. Ultimately, the goal is to ensure that the teams are well-rounded and have a variety of knowledge so they are not kept in a box. Some fans feel that this may be a flop and is undermining the smarts of the authentic game.
Others are thrilled about the new show and to see what it has in store. Now, according to The Sun, the spinoff has released its promo for Pop Culture. Unfortunately, it did not get future viewers the way that it was supposed to. They opted for the Distracted Boyfriend meme from 2015 and though a clever way to go, it failed to do the job it was supposed to. It was shared on the main show’s Instagram but the comments immediately flooded in.

The caption attached read:
“Finally, a show that’ll match your freak 😉 Take the #PopCultureJeopardy! Anytime Test at the link in bio. #Jeopardy!”
So, what did followers have to say about the Pop Culture meme that tried to be cheeky but missed the mark?
- #cringe
- Which intern wrote that caption I just want to talk
- I hate pop culture Jeopardy!
- Is nothing sacred?
- Jeopardy more like freakardy
- The caption on the left should read “any version of Jeopardy!” and on the right “Wheel with Ryan Seacrest”.
Clearly, fans had way too much fun mocking what was supposed to be a clever meme and joke for the show.
Where Can You Watch It?
Pop Culture Jeopardy! will not be accessible on regular cable but rather available on Amazon Prime. This is hard for some fans who do not have the streamer but still want to watch the show. As for who the host will be, that has not yet been announced. More so, the premiere date is still up in the air. Some viewers have said that they want Mayim Bialik back but this may not be the format for her.
