‘Tulsa King’ Season 2: Everything You Need To Know
Tulsa King Season 2 is coming to Paramount+. The second season of the Sylvester Stallone series is based and shot in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and is about a former mob boss who wants to set up a new empire in the state. The good news is that the second season will be here this fall.
Here is what you need to know about Tulsa King Season 2.
Tulsa King Release Date & How To Watch Season 2
In Tulsa King, Sylvester Stallone stars as Dwight “The General” Manfredi, a former mob boss establishing a new crime empire in Oklahoma. The first season saw the New York City mafia capo finish serving a 25-year prison sentence and then be sent to Tulsa to establish criminal operations there.
That first season had nine episodes and saw him seeking help from locals he meets in Tulsa as he begins to build his crew. This includes Lawrence “Bodhi” Geigerman (Martin Starr), the owner of a local dispensary, and Mitch Keller (Garrett Hedlund), who owns a bar that Dwight frequents.
He soon makes enemies in The Black Macadams, an outlaw biker gang, and comes to despise the New York syndicate that sent him to Tulsa. He also has a romantic interest in Stacy Beale (Andrea Savage), an ATF agent investigating Dwight. The first season ends with Stacy arresting Dwight for bribery, thanks to a flash drive with evidence on it.
The second season of Tulsa King premieres on September 15, 2024. Like the first season, the series drops weekly on Paramount+.
What Is Tulsa King Season 2 About?
There is a new promo for Tulsa King Season 2, and it appears that Dwight’s arrest won’t slow him down. As he says in the trailer, “Tulsa belongs to me now. I don’t answer to any man.”
The second season shows Dwight now in control of his new criminal empire but facing opposition from a Kansas City mob. He also has a powerful local businessman who is causing him problems. Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone) executive produces the drama series that Terence Winter (The Sopranos) writes.
The second season almost didn’t happen as Winter left as showrunner after conflicts with Sheridan. However, he soon returned as the lead writer, and director Craig Zisk took over the production responsibility.
As for the story, Dwight can expect problems from New York City as well. He served a 25-year prison sentence because he covered for Chickie (Domenick Lombardozzi). Chickie arrived at the end of Season 1 and demanded a share of the Tulsa operations, only for Dwight to send him home empty-handed. Dwight’s main opposition in the biker gang also died in a bar fight, clearing out many enemies.
However, Stacy then arrests Dwight, ending the season on a cliffhanger. In Season 2, Neal McDonough and Rich Ting will both join the cast as regular characters.
