Their divorce seems to be anything but cordial and she even recently revealed regret about not getting a prenup signed prior to their wedding. Now, even though things are great and they ended their marriage, Rachel says she still considers it all to be a success story. Why? Keep reading to find out what she has to say.
Rachel Lindsay Believes Her Relationship Was A Success
Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay is opening up more about her divorce from Bryan Abasolo. He filed for divorce in January and now they are working on reaching a settlement to finalize the end of their marriage. Rachel recently appeared on the Hidden Gems With Natasha Parker podcast where she spilled some of what she’s feeling.
She has been talking about her regret in not having a prenup signed as now things are “messy — unnecessarily messy.” However, while she does have things she would do differently and she and Bryan are divorcing, she does still see their marriage as a success.
Rachel said, “I came off The Bachelorette, I had a successful relationship. Everybody loved that it was successful and now it’s not. It doesn’t mean that it wasn’t at times, it just didn’t end that way — it didn’t have a happy ending. So I think people will look at me in a different way because it didn’t work.”
Overall, she still sees her and Bryan’s relationship as a positive one despite the chaos happening now with their divorce.
It’s All A Part Of Her Happy Ending
Rachel Lindsay believes that her failed marriage is all part of her happy ending. She said, “I’m doing what’s best for me and with divorce even if it’s mutual there’s a bit of a selfish decision in it but I’m doing what’s best for me and that’s a happy ending. Right now as I’m going through it. No, it’s not happy, it’s messy — unnecessarily messy — but when I get through it I’m gonna have to rebuild, I’m gonna have to restructure but it’s a happy ending because it’s what I want.”
Bryan has been pushing to get emergency spousal support from Rachel and also demanding she pay his legal fees.
What do you think about Rachel saying her relationship with Bryan was a success story even though they are divorcing?
