Heather Locklear Ready To Revive ‘Rep’ With ‘Melrose Place’
Heather Locklear is ready to revive her “reputation” with the upcoming Melrose Place reboot. The actress officially joined the hit FOX series in Season 2 and gave the show the push it needed to succeed. Now, with MP in talks to come back, Locklear is ready and raring to go. Keep reading for more details on what her hopes are for the new version.
Heather Locklear Ready To Revive ‘Rep’ With Melrose Place
For many years, Heather Locklear was known as a blonde bombshell actress. She gained notoriety on Dynasty and T.J. Hooker plus she had been married to Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee. However, it was her role as determined and direct Amanda Woodward on Melrose Place that brought her back as a household name. She garnered many accolades and helped to make the show the hit it was. Once it ended, she had some minor guest roles. Yet, the match never lit the same and she faced personal problems.
Her marriage to Tommy Lee ended as she began Melrose Place but she soon found love with Bon Jovi lead guitarist Richie Sambora. They welcomed a daughter, Ava in 1997 but their marriage ended in 2007. She was engaged to MP co-star Jack Wagner but that also ended. Along with that, she struggled with mental health and substance abuse issues. Additionally, she was arrested for domestic violence so it has been a rough ride. Now, according to In Touch, Heather is hoping that bringing back Melrose Place will help people see her in a new light.
An insider had this to say about Heather Locklear’s hopes for the reboot:
“Heather turned what was once a stellar career into a soap opera sideshow. She jumped at this opportunity and put pressure on the rest of the cast to join her to ensure the show would be brought back.”
This Could Work
Back in 2009, Melrose Place was revived and revamped with a whole new cast of characters. Though they lived in the same complex and had ties to the OG cast, it did not hit the same way for viewers. More so, Heather Locklear did make several appearances but this time, even she could not save the show that starred Ashlee Simpson-Ross. However, this reboot is bringing the old crew back together after a death and, of course, old wounds are opened for even more drama. Will fans bite? They very well may and Heather’s career and reputation could be back to good.
