Viewers have struggled with Garrick Merrifield since he joined Seeking Sister Wife in Season 3. They felt he never really took his wife, Dannielle Merrifield’s feelings into consideration. More so, he knew that she had jealousy problems but he appeared to want her to just get over them. Plus, he would rub his romance with Roberta in his wife’s face. Things fizzled with Roberta and even their other potential, Lea but they have not given up.
Right now, they are courting Brazilian Nathalia even though there have been some hiccups. Dannielle does not feel very connected to her. Additionally, Garrick was just found on dating sites despite being with his wife and Nathalia. This did not go over that well with the ladies but now something else Garrick has done has repulsed viewers. So much so that they started a Reddit thread to discuss this.

- Asking his wife to leave the room they shared so he and Nathalia could have s*x was so disrespectful. It’s also disgusting for him to consummate their relationship under the same roof as his wife, future MIL and his children. He could have taken her to a nice hotel for the night, so they could have a more romantic and private evening. All this man cares about is s*x.
Did other followers feel this was disrespectful or did they have other thoughts?

Not About God
From the beginning, Garrick Merrifield has maintained he heard a calling from God to have multiple wives. This has been his stance and he has stood by it. However, many Redditors pointed out that if this was truly a godly mission, Garrick would be abstaining. Kody Brown and Colton Winder both did not have any intimate relations until they had been married.
Colton is a prime example of just courting and enjoying company until the wedding day. Then, the physical nature of the relationship can begin. Viewers really believe that Garrick is using religion to justify anything and everything and it just isn’t working.
