Daisy Kent Explains Why She Made Raunchy Music Video
It’s not uncommon for Bachelor Nation fans to do a deep dive into Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants’ social media history. But no one expected Daisy Kent from Joey Graziadei’s season to have such a spicy past.
Even though Daisy is now deaf, she used to be a young woman with aspirations of being a singer. She collaborated with burgeoning rapper Abe$ on the song “Sundown” nearly three years ago and starred in the music video, which went viral for all the wrong reasons.
The song includes sexually explicit lyrics. The video was posted on Reddit two months ago and set to private on YouTube shortly after it began circulating on social media.
Now that Season 28 is over, Daisy Kent addressed the controversy head-on. She was a guest on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast this week. Hosts Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile brought up the music video, asking how it came about.
Daisy explained, “It’s actually one of my best friends since we were in fourth or fifth grade. He has always been one of my best friends. He makes a lot of music and does a lot of beats and stuff. I always did choir and played piano and guitar. We would always do random music stuff together.”
She added that when he asked if she wanted to be in the video, she jumped at the chance. Furthermore, they filmed the video around the time she was losing her hearing, and she knew time was running out.
” I wanted to do as much music stuff as I could because it’s always been such a big part of my life. I had hundreds of covers on this drive that I have,” – Daisy Kent, Bachelor Happy Hour podcast.
Does She Regret It?
Daisy confessed on the podcast that she didn’t think the video would become such a “big deal.” She said that all of her friends from home thought the video was funny, though a bit “out of pocket” for the blonde beauty.
With all the chatter about the music video online, does she regret filming it? Daisy expressed no remorse to Joe and Serena. “I don’t regret doing it because we had so much fun that day and it was a time in my life where I was so, so sad. Whenever I had a day when I was having fun with one of my best friends,” she said.
