Shania Twain Gets Apology From Lukas Gage For Wedding Mishap
Musical superstar Shania Twain received an apology from actor Lukas Gage after an epic wedding mishap. The Road House star had a chance to chat with Andy Cohen on WWHL about his marriage. That was when he chatted about Twain and offered her a sincere apology. Read on for more details on the whole situation.
Shania Twain Gets Apology From Lukas Gage For Wedding Mishap
Lukas Gage is one of the hottest young actors out there and the twenty-eight-year-old has a new movie out on Amazon Prime. He stars in the remake of the Patrick Swayze film Road House, alongside Jake Gyllenhaal. To promote the film, Gage appeared with his good friend, Vanderpump Rules OG Katie Maloney on the March 19th episode of WWHL. There, he also addressed his short-lived marriage to celebrity hairdresser, Chris Appleton. The two got married in Las Vegas in April 2023 with the wedding officiated by Kim Kardashian.
However, they filed for divorce six months later and according to People, Gage apologized to all involved. While on WWHL, he was asked about wearing fur coats on his wedding day. To that, the Euphoria star admitted it was “a horrible idea.” He then issued an apology to Shania Twain, who sang “You’re Still The One” as their wedding song. “I want to apologize to Shania Twain for wasting her time. I mean … ‘We’re still holding on….you’re still the one’ after three weeks? That was unhinged. That was like, the biggest waste of her time.”
Gage shared that, though having Shania sing at his wedding was “really cool,” it was hard because the marriage ended so quickly. Of course, Twain took it all in stride and tweeted about Lukas’ apology:
If you’re not in it for love, I’m outta here! 😂😘 https://t.co/T4RCgj5Dup

Lukas also apologized to Kim Kardashian who arranged everything for the couple to wed: “Look, Kim’s great. She was really sweet to fly us all out and take care of us and pay for everything. Sorry to Kim and Shania… so sorry.”
The Curse Of The Song
While Lukas Gage felt immense guilt for having Shania Twain sing at his wedding, Andy Cohen pointed out a fun fact. This particular song does not bode well at weddings. He noted how this was Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s wedding song and they recently announced they had split. Granted, their marriage lasted nearly five years and not six months but is it cursed? Upon learning this information, Lukas said this: “That is so diabolical, but also makes so much sense. I am Brittany.”
