‘Swamp People’ Willie Edwards Health Update
Willie Edwards is on his way back to Swamp People after an extended absence. His missing shows had many fans believing that he might be sick. However, Willie has addressed those concerns as he completed his comeback on the January 18 episode of the show.
Here is what Willie had to say and why he missed a few months from Swamp People.
Willie Edwards addresses health after Swamp People return
Willie Edwards missed a few months from Swamp People. This had many fans worried about his health. However, Willie was back on the show this week and showed off his impressive alligator-hunting skills once again. It proves that the Edwards family is always good when it comes to hunting down gators and keeping the swamp’s population in control when needed.
When Willie made his return to the show this week, it excited fans. Some even noted how Willie is all grown up now. When Willie started on the show in 2010, he was much younger and it was his father Junior Edwards who led the way. It seems that Willie has come into his own since that time. However, other fans questioned his absence. Many speculated that he was sick and that is why he missed time on the show.
There were even fans who saw that Willie had lost some weight. As with many stars who lose weight and look healthier, fans don’t like it and always assume they are ill. This also happened recently with Joey Edgar. Some fans looked at his weight loss and assumed he was ill and wished him a return to health. Others said that he lost too much weight and needed to eat more.
Willie Edwards wife added fuel to Swamp People rumors
Things got more worrisome when Willie Edwards’s wife made a concerning Facebook post. In the post, she wrote, “You do not know what it’s like to have fought the fight, or have a loved one who leads or has lead a battle against cancer.” This led fans to believe that Willie might have cancer.
Willie and Sherrie have been married for 23 years. They have three children. Willie also lost his brother Randy Edwards in 2018 after a single-car auto accident took his life. Randy was also an original Swamp People cast member with the family.
However, with Willie returning to the Swamp People reality TV show, there was no talk on health issues. It also showed that Willie was healthy enough to start hunting gators again. While he lost weight, it is unlikely that he has cancer, but fans will always worry about their favorite stars.

it looks to me like his eyebrows are gone and that is a sign of chemo along with the weight lose
Willie is one of my favorite characters on Swamp people. Our favorite episode was when Jr. forgot the guns. Our saying for along time was. That’s a F on your day!!?
Yes he has lost weight & his hair is thinning, but he still fights those gators with everything he has. For him to be able to pull those beast in the boat by himself is amazing. We pray he is healthy & will continue to be on the show.
Willie is my favorite Swamp person.
What I really want to know is how did Willlie get a boat into Frog Lake?
