Pump Rules Spinoff The Valley Here, Details & Promo
Prior to Kristen Doute and Stassi Schroeder getting fired from Vanderpump Rules, a spinoff was in the works. A lot had to do with the idea that much of the cast had outgrown SUR. Therefore, the concept focused on the new lives and times as the cast was getting married and becoming parents, much more stable. It was supposed to start at Stassi’s Italy wedding which would serve as the transitional episode. Unfortunately, she and Doute were let go plus Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright exited after Season 8. Enough demand led to the show being resurrected, filming began, and the promo was shown last night.
The official title is The Valley as Jax Taylor and Kristen Doute both live in Valley Village. Joining them on this ride, set to premiere this spring, are a slew of their friends. First off, the familiar faces fans will be pumped to see are, of course, Jax and Brittany. Along with them are Kristen Doute and her long-distance boyfriend, Luke Broderick. Danny and Nia Booko became friends with Jax as he and Danny have a Michigan connection. Plus, the Bookos have young kids so they get what it’s like to be toddler parents.
Janet and Jason Caperna have known the OG cast for a very long time so it would only make sense they would tag along. Throwing it back to Jax’s old-school NYC modeling days, Jesse Lally was a good friend and roomie. He now lives in California with his wife and are deep into high-profile real estate. The Valley’s final two are Jasmine Goode who worked at SUR and Zack Wickham, Brittany’s college BFF.
The Promo
Essentially, the promo for The Valley shows Jax Taylor wheeling around the neighborhood and saying hi to everyone. That is how the cast is introduced until he makes his way home to a peeved Brittany Cartwright. He is then discovered to be riding around in their son, Cruz’s mini car. It appears the concept for the show is that he is the number one guy in the neighborhood but the drama has yet to be officially shown.
