Mama June Shannon Reflects On A Month Without Anna
Mama June Shannon is reflecting on a month without her eldest daughter, Anna Cardwell. She passed away in December 2023 of stage 4 adrenal carcinoma. Since then, June has been a constant presence on social media which has angered many followers. Now, she is honoring Anna a month after she left this world. How is she doing so? Mama June Shannon Reflects On A Month Without Anna
Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma in early 2023. She shared this news in the season finale of Family Crisis with her two sisters, Pumpkin and Honey Boo Boo. The whole world was shocked to hear this but she fought, doing what she needed to. More so, Anna had two children, Kylee and Kaitlyn who she did not want to leave behind. Yet, she was ready for whatever was going to come her way as long as her girls were told how much she loved them when she was gone. Sadly, after a strong ten-month fight, Anna passed away with her family surrounding her.
Now that a month has gone by, her mother, Mama June is on social media, as per usual. However, she is sharing a loving tribute to her daughter, with sweet photos from her life and special moments. It showed Anna’s silly, happy, goofy, loving, and mothering sides. In the caption, June wrote this:
- It’s doesn’t seeem real it been a month u left us for me losing a child is like no other pain I have experience in my life I wish this was all a dream we would wake up from I mksa the talks on the bed sitting on the couch watching cooking shows and just u being here k. General through the good and bad days I love u b*tch

Of course, Mama June did get some backlash for referring to Anna as a “b*tch.” There were some who just felt it was in really poor taste to do such a thing. Especially when speaking about her deceased daughter. At the same time, others know that is exactly how June talks and speaks about all of her kids. It is still extremely sad yet viewers will get to watch Anna’s whole struggle on the upcoming season of Family Crisis. It will premiere next month on WeTV and even includes Anna’s secret wedding to Eldridge Toney.
