Wells Adams Reacts To ‘Bachelor In Paradise’ Breakups
Wells Adams has seen it all as the bartender on Bachelor In Paradise. Despite all three couples from Season 9 breaking up within a week of the finale, he still believes in the process. Which Season 9 breakup surprised him the most, and which did he see coming? Keep reading for all the details.
Wells Adams Reacts To Bachelor In Paradise Breakups
Season 7 of Bachelor In Paradise led to three marriages and an engagement. Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt tied the knot in October 2022.
Mari Pepin and Kenny Braasch had a beach ceremony during Season 9 of BIP but held their real wedding in Puerto Rico.
Becca Kufrin and Thomas Jacobs didn’t get engaged on the show but reunited after filming. They’re now married with a newborn.
Abigail Heringer and Noah Erb got engaged earlier this year after meeting on Season 7.
Season 9 of BIP saw a lot of couple-swapping and catty behavior, but the real drama happened in the days after the season finale. All three of the pairs who left the beach engaged or in a relationship announced their breakups shortly after the finale.
Kat Izzo and John Henry Spurlock ended their engagement.
Aaron Bryant and Eliza Isichei revealed they were no longer together.
Kylee Russell and Aven Jones split amid allegations that he cheated on her.
As resident BIP bartender, Wells Adams has watched couples fall in love and break up since Season 4. During an interview with Us Weekly, he shared his reaction to each split.
The breakup that surprised him the least was Kat and John Henry. “I love them both — don’t get me wrong — but they are just such different people,” Wells said about the former couple.
As for Kylee and Aven, he didn’t seem to agree with them blasting their business on social media. “It’s so easy with social media to air your grievances and stuff, and I’m hoping for the best for both of them.”
Aaron Bryant and Eliza Isichei’s split surprised him the most. He shared that the show had stopped filming the two because couples get “boring” after a while. After calling them “cute” together, Wells Adams said he thought they would be the next BIP wedding.
What He Would Change About The Show
Wells Adams also serves as the BIP sounding board, offering contestants dating advice or an ear to listen. But he has one piece of advice that was ignored by the producers.
The former Bachelorette contestant tried to encourage the producers to focus on meaningful relationships and not necessarily engagements. “I wonder sometimes if too much pressure is put on getting engaged,” he said about Bachelor In Paradise.
