Kroy Biermann Bails On Paying Divorce Attorney: Hit With Lien
Legal documents obtained by US Weekly confirm that Bergstrom’s law firm of Stearns, Montgomery & Proctor filed a “Consent Attorney’s Lien” against Kroy Biermann. The lien stated that the Bravo personality owed the law firm $801.01 for “unpaid amount of fees and services.”
The lien filed against Kroy includes “any interest that may have accrued pursuant” dating back to his initial agreement with the law firm on August 24th. The paperwork also confirms the law firm paused any additional services due to unpaid bills as of November 15th.
Per the documents, the lien “attaches to all recoverable assets” until the dues are paid in full. This includes any money and/or real estate property such as the Georgia residence he shares with his estranged wife.
Unfortunately, this could hinder his option to sell the home until the lien is paid in full.
What’s Going On With The House & Kids?
As Bravo fans know, Kroy has been in a pretty messy legal situation involving his wife. Throughout the battle, he has maintained that their financial struggles are Kim’s fault. She, however, has maintained she is not the only one to blame.
Originally, their Georgia home was slated to be foreclosed on November 7th. Both Kim and Kroy, however, wrote affidavits to fight it. They started the foreclosure would “devastate” the family. Furthermore, they also confirmed the home was currently on the market for $6 million. Kroy Biermann hopes selling the home will be a solution to their current situation.
He hoped that the sale would provide “enough income to secure their own individual residences, thus taking the children out of the toxic environment.”
As fans know, Kroy Biermann also filed for sole physical and legal custody of his children back in August. Furthermore, he also requested exclusive access to their Georgia home. It was days after he filed this paperwork that he first put the Georgia home on the market hoping to resolve some of the family’s financial woes.
