Jenelle Evans’ Husband David Eason’s Court Hearing Delayed
MTV’s Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans’ husband was slated to appear in court yesterday. The court hearing was regarding the allegations of child abuse involving David and Jenelle’s 14-year-old son, Jace.
Unfortunately for Teen Mom stars hoping the judge would throw the book at David Eason yesterday, his court hearing was delayed. Why was his court hearing rescheduled? Keep reading for the details.
David Eason’s Court Hearing Delayed, Why?
As TV Shows Ace previously reported, David Eason was headed into court yesterday with no lawyer. Representing himself, he was going to face a hardcore judge who had a deep-rooted interest in seeing abused children get justice. Fans of Teen Mom agreed David Eason was making a huge mistake going to court without legal representation.
According to InTouch Weekly, David Eason wised up just before his court hearing and retained a lawyer. The lawyer he retained, however, was not immediately available to come in for this particular court hearing. David’s legal representation asked the judge to reschedule the hearing because of their scheduling conflicts.
Turns out, someone else from the legal firm representing David Eason showed up on his behalf today. A representative named William Gore told the judge David Eason’s lawyer was presently out of the office on maternity leave. So, it was requested that David’s court hearing be pushed until next year when David’s lawyer is able to return to work and has time to look at his care.
Not having much of a choice with the lawyer on maternity leave, the judge granted permission to reschedule the court hearing. So, David Eason’s court hearing has been officially rescheduled to January 18, 2024. David Eason’s lawyer officially returns to the office on January 1st. So, this new schedule will give his lawyer plenty of time to look at his face before the hearing.
His Wife Goes Wild On Social Media
Now, David Eason’s wife, Jenelle Evans, went completely off the rails on social media yesterday. On her Instagram Stories and TikTok, she posted videos about them “leaving the courthouse.” She, however, later took to Facebook to gaslight media outlets claiming that “going to court” was never something that happened.
Fans, however, were pretty quick to call her out for gaslighting everyone. Furthermore, some pointed out that she lied so much she was struggling to keep her lies straight at this point.
Are you surprised the judge was willing to let David’s case get pushed until next year? Do you think he could face jail time for this child abuse charge? Share your thoughts in the comments. Furthermore, keep coming back for more news and updates on Jenelle Evans and her family.
