‘Dancing With The Stars’ Shocking Truth, Fake Drama And Tricks Exposed
Is there something a little dishonest going on behind the scenes at Dancing With The Stars?
At home, many DWTS viewers noticed that the boos are getting a little out of hand this year. Nearly any time a judge has something critical to say about the dancers, audience members flood the ballroom with boos and jeers. It’s getting to the point where the judges occasionally speak out and ask the audience members to settle down.
But could that all be for show? Keep reading to see what TV Shows Ace discovered.
The DWTS producers allegedly stage parts of the show
All reality television shows stage certain elements from time to time. Dancing With The Stars features prerecorded packages that feature specific conversations about upcoming performances, dancing jitters, and so much more.
But according to a new report, a lot more of the competition is staged than fans originally thought.
An insider recently came forward and revealed that the booing is completely fake.
“Those who watch the show on TV think the loud booing is genuine, but the production team direct the audience before the cameras start filming,” an insider reportedly told The Sun. “On Tuesday, they were told directly to amp up the booing, with a host joking ‘even Carrie Ann [Inaba] wants you to boo her,’ and everyone was laughing nervously.”
“There’s a lot going on behind the scenes that people don’t realize, and the audience is told to be as loud as possible when the judges are critiquing the celebrities,” the insider continued. “It’s all for show and to make it seem more dramatic on TV, but it’s clear some of the audience members felt the magic was taken away seeing it in real life.”
Although many DWTS viewers thoroughly enjoyed the magic of Whitney Houston Night, this new report might seriously deter viewers from watching future episodes.
The judges don’t seem particularly bothered by the audience in reality
According to the source, the judges generally take selfies and chitchat when the cameras aren’t on them. Derek Hough in particular likes to get the crowd going.
“It’s clear Derek loves fame and was constantly fooling around to try and impress the audience seated behind the judge’s table, while the others barely interacted with them,” the insider reported.
