Alabama Barker Flips On Travis And Kourtney’s Baby Name

Since Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian announced their pregnancy, Alabama Barker and countless fans wondered what the couple would name their new child. Much like any family, discussing a new baby and their name is a tedious process that can sometimes seem endless. And with celebrities known for creating some rather interesting names for their children, it should come as no surprise that Travis presented a name that caught Alabama off guard to the point she suggested other names. But with time passing, it seems the teenager has a new outlook on the naming.

Back in 2021, news broke that Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian were dating. There were rumors for months before they made it official. Engaged later that year, the couple eventually married in April 2022, blending their families. While having relationships before meeting, Travis brought Landon and Alabama Barker with Kourtney bringing Mason Disick, Reign Disick, and Penelope Disick. That was until the couple announced a baby boy would be joining the growing family.

“Greatest Boxing Movie”

With excitement in the air, Alabama Barker sat down with her father on the video series GOAT Talk for Complex. During their discussions, the teenager decided to suggest a few names for her future baby brother. Names included, Milan, Patek, and Audemars. Taking in her choices, Travis blurted out, “I like Rocky 13.”

Somewhat stunned by the reveal, Alabama Barker needed confirmation, “So you’re going to name your kid ‘Rocky 13?’” After Travis confirmed the name, she insisted, “Let’s see how this goes when he’s at school.”

Showing a bit of his thought process, Travis told Alabama Barker, “This name that’s just been going in my head lately. It is, it is bad. Rocky George played guitar for Suicidal Tendencies, and 13 is just the greatest number of all time.” And for those fans of Sylvester Stallone, Travis added that Rocky was the “greatest boxing movie” ever.

Alabama Barker Changes Her Mind

Given that Rocky 13 is due any time now, it appears that Alabama Barker had some time to ponder the naming. Recently, the topic of the name came up during an interview where the teenager explained it was a “cool name”. And the reason for her shift – “We all have very authentic, weird names.”

Alabama Barker continued by sharing her excitement about her family growing one more. “I just think having another family member is always awesome. And getting to know a new person, it’s gonna be so fun and so exciting!”

Although the name was an idea at one time, Travis confirmed the Rocky 13 name on October 30 when discussing the name on the One Life One Chance podcast.
