‘Fixer Upper’ Chip and Joanna Gaines Announce New Series On Magnolia
Fans were given a great surprise from Fixer Upper’s Chip and Joanna Gaines. Known for their parts in the Fixer Upper franchise, fans have come to know this couple over two decades. The original Fixer Upper came to screens in 2013. The Gaines also starred in Fixer Upper: Welcome Home and Fixer Upper: The Castle. While it’s been more than 20 years since they released the first Fixer Upper, they are now happy to announce two new shows to their Magnolia Network.
New Addition To The ‘Fixer Upper’ Franchise
The first of the new series on the Magnolia Network is the Fixer Upper: The Hotel. At this point, the new show will follow Chip and Joanna Gaines as they renovate Hotel 1928 in Waco, Texas. Indeed, that will be exciting since Waco is also their hometown. Originally, the project was introduced in 2019. First, the idea was hinted at in Variety’s November 2022 cover story. Within the article, the pair revealed that they had a boutique hotel under construction, set to open in fall 2023.
“This has been the biggest project of my life — the castle is second now,” Fixer Upper‘s Joanna Gaines told Variety. “With four floors of restaurants and rooms and a whole ballroom.” She continued, “But both of these projects, the castle and the hotel, have really been led by the history of it, the design being driven by that more than, what do I want to do with it? It’s definitely been something that I’ve had to let the story lead that design. So it’s been a fun learning process for me where I feel like I get to show up and just be a student and get schooled for a second.”

Although it has taken some time, it is finally ready. The series spotlights the process of renewing and transforming a boutique property. Reportedly, it will premiere on November 8 on Magnolia and Max. When it arrives, it is said to feature six half-hour episodes walking through their transformation.
An Extra Special Surprise Series
And the truly shocking announcement from the Fixer Upper couple – Rollerskating! The exciting idea was introduced and will show a special interest of Joanna Gaines. Presently, the Gaines are planning to have a roller dancing competition series on Magnolia Network. Joanna Gaines posed in a pair of rollerskates on the cover of her magazine. Now, Joanna can show that love to her fans with this new show. During the announcement they said, this is the “first-ever nationwide roller dancing competition series.” According to the Magnolia Network, it is “a nostalgic, family-friendly competition featuring the top roller-skating crews in America.” Most importantly, Chip and Joanna will be executive producers of the new show. So dust off your skates and get ready for some fun!
