‘Sister Wives’ S19 Doing Unprecedented Amount Of Episodes
Although Sister Wives is notorious for being much further behind than many other popular reality TV shows, there is a big change for Season 19. TLC is presenting an unprecedented amount of episodes covering a longer timeframe than usual.
Sister Wives Has A Long Way To Go
Sister Wives seasons have varying numbers of episodes that are aired. However, sources say that Season 19 is picking up steam and not coming to a close anytime soon. When Christine Brown Woolley and Janelle Brown were on their big media tour, they teased the idea that Season 19 covers more ground than most seasons. Likewise, Christine mentions that it goes almost six months after her wedding. When fans did the math, it appeared that the show would lead fans to Garrison Brown’s death and possibly even further. With extended content, there is a need for more episodes than usual.
Sister Wives Adds Confusion
Fans discuss how long Season 19 will be. On Reddit, one Sister Wives fan noticed something unusual about the latest episode. At first, they start by asking, “Mid-season finale?” showing their confusion. Then, they add, “Anyone know what is going on with the rest of the season?? Usually, at the end of the episode, they say ‘Next time of Sister Wives‘ but in this last episode, they said something like ‘Still to come’ or something of that effect. Was that a mid-season finale? Or are they done with this season?? Confused.”
- One fan notes, “They usually do a mid-season trailer, so this is pretty on trend for that.”
- Someone else adds, “There was a ‘next time on Sister Wives‘ when I watched it live on Sunday night. It showed Savannah’s graduation party, Robyn saying they are paying off the property, and also talking about how to divide the property. I just checked one of my DVR copies and it runs during the closing credits but the mid-season trailer does not show on that DVR copy (I have multiple DVR copies since it records every time the episode runs on TLC). But there was also a mid-season trailer that showed scenes from the rest of the season including the ATV accident that also showed at the end of the live viewing. During the live show on TLC Sunday night, I saw both of them. The other reality shows I watch usually do a mid-season trailer about midway through the season showing scenes of stuff to come.”
Season 19 Will Have An Unprecedented Amount Of Episodes
Yahoo Entertainment has reported the latest trailer is the mid-season bombshell that fans have been waiting for. Likewise, other sources suggest there are many more episodes to come.
- For instance, someone else in the Reddit sub establishes that Season 19 has a long way to go. They add, “There are 23 Episodes this season. It’s far from over.”
- In an earlier Reddit subgroup someone said James from My Take On Reality mentioned the series will have 26 episodes. Saying, “I have just seen that Season 19 is going to be 26 episodes long, can we hope they will use this as an opportunity to catch up?? Or do we think it’ll be filler episodes like having a few episodes and then episodes of watching them watch the episodes, again?”
- Another viewer adds, “I think (hope!) that they catch up. I remember reading somewhere that they were filming around the time Garrison passed so it would make sense.”

I would hire a lawyer to get the property devided fairly and not have cody on all of it and it be split evenly among the remaining 4 with each person getting the same amount of money. Noone agreed to the way the land was spilt in the first place and it’s been on TV. it won’t be hard to prove it was unfair to jennal and Mary
Yes, I’m certain any random viewer of this heavily edited reality show is more informed than any of the members of this family who lovingly raised nearly two dozen children in a cooperative and constructive fashion.
I never understood why consumers of reality shows somehow believe they know more than the subjects of the shows themselves. It’s entertainment. It’s designed to provoke a reaction. The very first logical thing to do when viewing such a piece of entertainment is to suspend any opinions one might form as a result. It’s impossible to get all sides of the story when the entire goal of the network is to present the most dramatic, emotionally charged, divisive moments designed to cause the biggest emotional reaction among the viewers so they can nab as many ratings as possible.
How anyone could use such a grossly manipulated view of reality to form opinions about the character/ethics/morality of actual people, let alone to stand in judgment of them, is totally beyond me.
(I’m not defending Kody here – but I’m also not defending anyone else. This family is clearly making a tremendous amount of money or they would not have allowed their entire lives to be filmed for nearly two decades. The winners here are the network – mostly – and the family – to a much smaller extent)
I wouldn’t be surprised if this entire series of divorces was planned either in private among the Browns (plausible name, don’t you think?) or by the network and when the show’s finale airs, they quietly all get back together and retire on the millions they’ve earned and invested over the years.
What group of five people with 16-18 children can afford five enormous Las Vegas homes when only one of the adult wives has an actual fulltime career? Either Kody is or has become independently wealthy or this show has been tremendously profitable for all of them.
Have no fear – regardless of what plays out on the stage of this well-staged, highly-edited, almost fictional “reality show,” every member of the family is already or has an opportunity to become very wealthy individuals, so long as they are responsible with their money and don’t commit suicide.
