Tragic news for fans of On Patrol: Live — a Florida Deputy, who was featured on the show, has been confirmed dead at the age of 45. Taking to the official social media profiles for the series, the network revealed the family of the Volusia Sheriff’s Office recently suffered a devastating loss. Deputy Jason Lewis has passed away. A few days ago, fans of the cop reality series learned the On Patrol: Live, the Reelz network, and the Volusia Sheriff’s Office came together to mourn the passing of Deputy Jason Lewis. The Florida deputy had over a decade of service on his resume.
Sharing a collage of photos of Deputy Jason Lewis, the Volusia Sheriff’s Office paid a beautiful tribute to him. The tribute did reveal his cause of death. Though, it did not get specific with the details. Sadly, the Florida deputy passed away after a brief battle with an illness. The details of the illness were not included.
The tribute did share a bit of background information on the former On Patrol: Live Florida deputy. Toward the end of the tribute, Volusia Sheriff’s Office shared that his death was a huge loss to the entire community he served to protect.
“Deputy Lewis served with distinction and valor as a valued member of our SWAT team and beach unit.”
Sadly, Deputy Jason Lewis leaves behind his father, his brother, and his two children.

Both members of the Volusia community and fans of On Patrol: Live poured into the comments of the Facebook tributes to mourn his passing. Likewise, everyone joined in sending thoughts and prayers to his family during this difficult time.
