The Today Show host Al Roker recently updated fans online after a nightmare health scare.

Al and his family have been open about the fact that he nearly lost his life in 2022. Since then, he has battled his way from the brink of death and reclaimed his health. In the newest update on his health, Al told fans how he’s doing since his difficult recovery. Read on to find out what’s going on with Al Roker’s health after a challenging 2022.

Al’s Kitchen Made For A King

Al Roker is known for his excellent on-air weather reports. But perhaps almost as famous is Al’s delectable dishes, which he makes and then shares on social media.

Whether he’s cooking for himself, his family, or specifically for his son Nick, Al seems to have the chef skills of a pro. And his skills are helped along, certainly, by the fact that he has a world-class-looking kitchen with all the gadgets needed for a fancy meal. Snaps shared online of Al’s cooking base show all stainless steel appliances, including a grill, ample counter space, and a large pantry. That pantry, by the way, is both immaculately organized and well-stocked.

In photos shared on his social media, Al poses in front of his expansive cooking surfaces, lined with every utensil a chef could possibly hope for, with pristine white cabinets and a stylish tile backsplash.

And perhaps it’s these excellent cooking spaces that have helped encourage Al Roker to reclaim his health after nearly losing his life in November 2022.

In November 2022, Al shared with fans that he was admitted to the hospital with a blood clot in his leg. He shared that he and the doctors engaged in some “Medical whack-a-mole” before they were able to treat him and send him home the following week. Since then, Al has walked a difficult road back to health. That includes a knee replacement surgery which made his recovery all the more difficult. In a new social media post, Al shared with fans that he feels like himself “for the first time since early November of last year.” He thanked his support system for their encouragement and posted a video of himself taking a brisk walk.

He called it a “great feeling” to be back to himself. And he added that it wasn’t just his friends and family that got him through to where he is today. The Today host gave his followers and fans a nod of appreciation as well. Al concluded that he is “Thankful for that” and encouraged followers to think about what they’re thankful for this week.
