Remi Was Known For His Skyscraper Stunts

Remi Lucidi was best known to his fans as Remi Enigma, or Remnigma, his “stage” name. He considered himself an extreme sports enthusiast, and he documented his escapades on camera with breathtaking pictures and hair-raising videos. On social media, people gushed about his courage and appetite for adventure.

He traveled the world to experience the most death-defying moments. In March, Remi shared a picture of himself dangling from a skyscraper near Chernobyl in Ukraine. He captioned the photo, “My Comfort Zone.” Remi also photographed himself scrambling up and hanging off of spires, skyscrapers, and tall structures in Bulgaria, Bangkok, Dubai, and Portugal.

Just last month, he posted a photo that fans are now calling “hauntingly prophetic.” In the image, Remi was climbing a tower in Bulgaria. He captioned it, “Life is too short to chase unicorns 💀.”

Unfortunately for Remi Lucidi, it was his heroic love of extreme heights that led to his untimely death.

Last Thursday, Remi entered the 721-foot-tall Tregunter Tower in Hong Kong. He apparently told a security guard that he was there to visit a friend on the 40th floor, gaining him access to the skyscraper. From there, he made his way to the top floor. Media reports say that he took an elevator to the 49th floor, then climbed a staircase to the top, where he forced a door open. Somehow, he got locked on the outside of the building.

Remi reportedly knocked on a window to get a maid’s attention, and she called the police. Unfortunately, before authorities could arrive to help him, Remi lost his footing and fell to his death from the 68th floor. Authorities found his body and beloved camera on a nearby patio. Followers took to his social media with a variety of reactions to his passing. Some suggested that he was tempting fate, and his passing was just a matter of time. However, others lamented the loss of a young life. One fan wrote, “Bro went out doing what he loved! He lived his life fully. Not many can say that.”
