‘Bachelor’ Shawn Booth Reveals Exciting Baby News
Bachelorette alum Shawn Booth just revealed some exciting baby news. Shawn teased big news yesterday on Instagram and today he delivered. He made the announcement on the latest episode of his podcast which dropped today. Keep reading to find out everything he had to say about his huge announcement.
Shawn Booth makes huge baby announcement
Monday on the In the Booth podcast, Shawn Booth revealed to Bachelor Nation that he is going to be a father. He’s kept his life pretty private since his split from Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe five years ago. However, now, he decided to let everyone in on his little secret.
Nobody really even knew Shawn was dating anyone special. He said, “I’ve dated since the show. I’ve dated a bunch of people. I’ve had a girlfriend.” He concluded, “I’ve always just kept things very private.”
It turns out, Shawn and his special lady are going to be parents. Shawn is going to be a dad.
On the podcast, he said, “December 12, baby Booth on their way. It’s happening. I’m gonna be a father. The mother is somebody who I’ve been close with for years. We’ve had a relationship and we’ve dated. This just isn’t some random girl I met at Honky Tonk Central. This is a big surprise for the both of us. [To be] open and honest, this wasn’t something that was planned. But it will be and is the most beautiful surprise I’ve ever had in my life. And it’s gonna be very special. I can’t wait. I’m ready. I’m 37 years old. I’ve always wanted to be a dad.”
What else did he reveal about the pregnancy?
So far Shawn has not revealed who the mother of his child is. However, he is hoping to have her on the podcast sometime soon. He is leaving the ball in her court as to if she wants to be seen.
He also revealed to fans that the mother-to-be is 18 weeks pregnant. Plus, they are going against the norm and decided to not find out the gender of their little one until it’s born in December. The couple will incorporate both of their last names when they officially name their baby.
Shawn praised the mother of his child and said she’s been a champ and a rock star. It’s taken him a while to adjust to the idea of being a dad but he’s excited.
He also already had a message for his critics. Shawn shared that he really doesn’t care what anybody thinks. For him not being married is not the most important part of all this.
