It has not been an easy road for Al Roker. He has faced health problems and fought his way back to the TODAY show set. His co-hosts loved and missed him so much, they even paid him a special visit when he was recovering at home. It brought both Roker and the viewers at home to tears as it was so sentimental. Now, Al has a new reason to mist up at the marvels of life. Earlier this month, Al became a first-time grandparent.
His daughter, Courtney Roker Laga welcomed a healthy baby girl named Sky and obviously, Al Roker was over the moon. He will go by ‘Pop Pop’ which is so sweet but now, there is something sweeter. According to Meaww, Pop Pop Al recently shared a snap of him and his new little darling together. He shared the photos on his Instagram and they were truly the best thing to see. Al beamed as he held Sky, his smile taking up the whole picture.

In the caption, he wrote: “Spent the afternoon visiting @ouichefroker @thatteacherwhodjs and my #grandaughter Sky Clara. Held her for about 2 hours and could’nt stop marveling at that #olddads punim.” His wife, Deborah Roberts immediately added several red heart emojis. Dylan Dreyer chimed in with: “She’s looking right at you!!” Everyone agreed this was exactly where he belonged and looked perfect with her. He was clearly meant to be a weatherman and a grandfather.
Hold On Forever
In the third photo that Al Roker shared, Sky is clenched onto his finger and it is beautiful. His followers immediately commented on this precious moment. “OMG so precious! I love her holding your finger.” Another added: “She’s gorgeous Al! Her tiny hand around your thumb. ❤️❤️” Hopefully, he will keep sharing these moments with his followers because they are clearly relishing in them alongside Pop Pop. This is just the medicine that Al Roker needs to live his best life and she is visibly bringing him more joy than he ever could have imagined.
