Tragic breaking news for fans of Everwood and White Collar as actor Treat Williams has been confirmed dead at the age of 71. With just shy of 130 acting credits on his resume at the time of his passing, Treat is a face many will recognize from some of their favorite shows. Has his cause of death been revealed just yet? Everwood & White Collar Treat Williams Dead At 71

Tragically, Treat William’s agent of 15 years, Barry McPherson, confirmed to People Magazine the actor passed away on Monday. His death was sudden and unexpected. Sadly, his cause of death was linked to a motorcycle accident.

“He was killed this afternoon. He was making a left or a right [and] a car cut him off. I’m just devastated. He was the nicest guy. He was so talented.”

His agent continued in his official statement to People Magazine: “He was an actor’s actor. Filmmakers loved him. He’s been the heart of the Hollywood since the late 1970s. He was really proud of his performance this year. He’s been so happy with the work that I got him. He’s had a balanced career.”

Per local authorities, the identity of the actor has yet to be confirmed. But, Fire Chief Jacob Gribble confirms the motorcycle accident happened today around 5 p.m. in Dorset, Vermont. The accident involved Treat’s motorcycle and another vehicle. Authorities believe the driver of the car did not see the actor’s motorcycle when proceeding to make a turn. Treat Williams was the only one hurt in the accident.

The actor was airlifted to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, he later died of the injuries he sustained from the accident.

He Had An Incredible Career

Treat Williams’ acting career dates all the way back to 1975 when he made his debut in the film called Deadly Hero. The following year, he landed roles in The Eagle Has Landed and The Ritz.

The actor’s longstanding career dates back to 1975, when he made his film debut in the thriller Deadly Hero. From there, he began to take on more film roles, including 1976’s The Ritz and The Eagle Has Landed.

The incredibly talented actor is survived by his wife Pam Van Sant and their two children.
