Jim Bob & Michelle Duggar Address ‘Derogatory’ Documentary
With Jim Bob Duggar listed as the author of the statement, the Counting On alums took to their family blog to address the release of Amazon Prime’s documentary. Jim Bob and Michelle agree the documentary is “sad” because it has “ill intentions” of hurting people.
The former TLC couple added that despite being in the public eye, their family experiences both times of joy and times of heartbreak just like every other family.
This “documentary” paints so much and so many in a derogatory and sensationalized way because sadly that’s the direction of entertainment these days.
Throughout their statement, the Counting On alums continued to place the word documentary in quotes suggesting they did not believe the film should even be classified as a documentary.
Their statement continues: “We have always believed that the best chance to repair damaged relationships, or to reconcile differences, is through love in a private setting.”
They Won’t Let It Destroy Their Family
Despite the rumors, Jim Bob Duggar and his wife Michelle insist they “love” every single one of their children, their children’s spouses, and their grandchildren. Moreover, they promise to continue to do everything they can to maintain healthy relationships with each member of their family.
Through both the triumphs and the trials we have clung to our faith all the more and discovered that through the love and grace of Jesus, we find strength, comfort, and purpose.
With this statement, Jim Bob Duggar and his wife Michelle want it to be known that they are not at odds with any of their children. And, it sounds as if they do not plan on letting the documentary rip their family apart either.
