Seeking Sister Wife Did The Epps Family’s Eviction Get Reversed?
This Seeking Sister Wife family has had a bevy of scandals under their belt. It was so bad that fans actually wanted the Epps’ off of Season 4 before it even began. Marcus Epps was a councilman in Ohio but his family also held residence in Florida. It was confusing for many but then the home that Florida home they were renting tried to evict them. Marcus’ wife, Taryn, and his fiancee, India are the only ones listed on the lease. This makes sense so he can continue his campaign in Ohio without any further struggle.
Unfortunately, the family was recently evicted but why? It appears that they did not pay rent for February or March. Each month is over 3K but the Epps ladies feel that they have a valid reason for withholding their money. The Seeking Sister Wife family has had a bevy of problems since moving into this home. Yes, the ladies did end up making their payment for their back rent but they were just a little late as they had not received the notice on time. However, they countersued their landlord for 12K and sent a notice to withhold rent on February 1st.
According to Starcasm, they had their hearing on the 8th of this month with India and Taryn in court. Ultimately, a mutual deal was made for the Epps family to vacate by the end of May. As for the over 10K that the family had paid to the court registry, it will most likely go to the property landlords. Yet, the family will not be liable for any rent for their last month in the home, they will get their security deposit back but they had to drop the countersuit.
In The End…
Ultimately, the Seeking Sister Wife family had to concede some to win some. They will get back their security deposit, which is a positive and they can live rent free for this month. However, they did complain that they had to deal with issues within the home for months that did not get resolved. Therefore, it seems that the landlords are benefitting in their own right. Hopefully, Marcus, India, and Taryn find more suitable living accomodations. At the same time, since these issues with the home have beccome public, the landlords should try to remedy them for the next renters or this will happen all over again.
