Speaking to TMZ, the Pump family confirms that Lisa Vanderpump’s West Hollywood Pump Restaurant is throwing in the towel. Fortunately, the announcement reveals the doors will be kept open for roughly two more months for anyone hoping to take a trip to see the beautiful establishment before it closes up shop for good. Here’s the official statement the family gave to TMZ about the decision to close:
“It’s with heavy hearts that we announce that the lease at Pump Restaurant is expiring, and we will be closing its doors on July 5th, after 10 years of beautiful evenings under our olive trees.”

Now, the doors of the West Hollywood Pump Restaurant closing doesn’t mean Lisa is giving up on her empire. In fact, the family also told TMZ that Lisa has pretty big plans for opening two more restaurants. The family spilled the beans that these new establishments were going to be opened at Caesars in Las Vegas.
Turns out, the Pump family doesn’t actually believe they are to blame for having to shut down the restaurant. In fact, they are placing the blame squarely on the landlord. Turns out, the landlord has made the decision to seriously bump the rent on the retail space. And, the family can’t justify agreeing to another 10-year lease with the amount of money the landlord is asking for.
Lisa Vanderpump’s team goes on to explain that it is because they are successful in the restaurant business that they are closing this particular establishment because the rent the landlord is asking for is “untenable.”
A source close to Lisa’s family tells TMZ the landlord has requested an annual rent of $1 million banking a total of $10M before taxes for the ten-year lease. Lisa and her husband Ken Todd, however, agree what the landlord is asking for is “ridiculous” and they will look elsewhere.
Turns out, the building that used to be Lisa Vanderpump’s Beverly Hills restaurant has been empty for over three years after they shut the doos back in 2020. Sources speaking to TMZ confirm the building continues to remain empty because the landlord is asking far too much.
While Lisa Vanderpump’s team is disappointed, it doesn’t sound like there’s much to be concerned about as far as her overall eatery business is concerned. In fact, it sounds like the restaurant just became a victim of a greedy landlord.
