Howie Mandel Struck A Deal To Go Easy On Tom Sandoval

Howie Mandel appears to have struck a deal to go somewhat easy on Tom Sandoval when he appeared on his podcast. The former Deal Or No Deal host took a literal deal to have the Vanderpump Rules star as a guest. This was Tom’s first in-depth interview since the cheating scandal broke. However, fans felt that Mandel went way too easy on Sandoval and believed that he was the wrong person to interview him. Read on for more details of what actually happened.

When Tom Sandoval appeared on Howie Mandel’s podcast, Howie Mandel Does Stuff, fans, and viewers were shocked. Mandel had absolutely no knowledge of Vanderpump Rules. He also did not know what was going down with ‘Scandoval.’ Furthermore, he did not understand how invested Bravo fans were in the drama. In early March, news broke that Tom Sandoval had cheated on his longtime girlfriend, Ariana Madix. Yet, he did it with their close friend and co-star Raquel Leviss. More so, it had been going on for months so it was a true shocker. Then, Sandoval appeared on the podcast and was dropping cast names.

Unfortunately, Howie Mandel had no idea who he was even talking about. Furthermore, he let Tom play the victim and did not even press him about cheating. It appeared like he condoned what had happened and ended up looking really bad. Andy Cohen even called him about for being too uneducated to do the interview. Yet, Mandel’s daughter and co-host was a diehard fan so that worked for the interview. It also came out that Howie and his family were close to Sandoval’s drummer and tour manager for his band. So, that made fans scratch their heads if special treatment was given.

Now, Howie Mandel has appeared on Nick Viall’s podcast and confirmed that he told his daughter not to challenge Tom whatsoever. He said that there were “no challenges in this particular moment.” Even if she disagreed with something, she could not say it. Howie added that he promised Tom this beforehand. Essentially, as part of the “arrangement” for him to appear, he would not be pressed. Deal made.

Fans Are Fuming

If Vanderpump fans were not livid before, they are fuming now. After learning this tidbit about Howie Mandel, they had a lot to say. “Soo not an interview then? Just a chance for Tom to try out his narcissistic rhetoric. Got it,” one noted. Another added: “This is not making me like Howie any more. In fact, the more he speaks, the less I like him.” Looks like his interview credibility is definitely shot now.
